First stop on our eighth day in Napa Valley is to our friend Aaron to taste through some of the wines from Myriad Cellars, Bench Vineyards, Steltzner Vineyards, Riverain Vineyards and Flint Knoll. Fifth wine is from Bench Vineyards and is their Circa 64 which is made up of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon with the remainder being equal parts of Petit Verdot and Malbec.
Dark purplish ruby red. Classis Napa Bordeaux blend on the nose with cassis, gravel, purple flowers and black currants. Medium tannins (6.5/10) with balanced acidity and a medium plus body. Rich attack with red plums, currants and gravel. Elegance shown throughout with a dry long finish. Drink till 2028. (92+)

Again a surprise and maybe just the way the wines lined up tonight. This was the WOTN. Fruit forward Napa Cab.
I do wonder if the line up progressions caused me to overrate a point or two on the cabs?
Light cassis on the nose 3/5 with strawberry and cherry
