  • Chalky, beefy, earthy nose - some spices. Cherries, raspberries on the palate. At first a bit meaty but this really developed in the glass to reveal more nuanced characteristics. Quite full in the mouth but with elegant tannins and acid. This wil age very very well - needs 3-5 years to open up. if you are in the UK you can buy from Oddbins for £21. Overall. Excellent.

  • Old school light bodied bourgogne. Lots going on on the nose, over the course of the evening raspberry, then plums, cola, rubber, spicy peppers. Very tart and young on the palate but tannins soft, velvety. Tart spice predominates at this point, more going on on the nose than in the flavor.
