  Red cherry on the nose with black cherry behind along with notes of moderate leather, light spices and earth; very classic nose. Between medium and full bodied (15.5% ABV) with red cherry upfront, adding depth and black cherry through the middle. Balanced and beautiful round in the mid-body where the fruit and tannins come together extremely well, showing complexity and concentration while retaining a sense of elegance, rather than high alcohol, brute force power/over extraction. Leather, spices and tannins all come in on the back and into the finish, but were all nicely integrated with the mid-body. Should be able to continue to improve over the next 3-4 years and hold at that level for several more years. (Antica Bottega del Vino; Verona, Italy)
