  • Somewhat jammy and taut. Reduction recedes with two+ hours on air, revealing a much more approachable wine.

  • On open, not too exciting. Opened up slowly over 2 hours. Drank half, vacu pumped. Day 2 after an hour open a very good wine. Could very well been mistaken for a precise burg premier cru. It drinks a lot like my 2013 cote de nuits burgs, Juicy crisp crushed red berries, fennel, just enough weight, blue fruits sweetness, and soooo enjoyable. Light but enough of everything to keep it interesting. I don’t know where this wine would go with time, it’s a not so interesting wine on opening but too me I don’t know how much better this wine could really drink.

  • Opened and decanted 2 hours ahead of sweet and sour meatballs with mixed veggies. Murky crimson color. The floral nose brings purple lavender, red roses, potpourri, cinnamon spices, and rhubarb pie. The palate is medium, square, compact, and hard, bringing blackberry jam, cherry bitters, pomegranate, black tea, cloves, and more rhubarb into an extended tannic finish. This is still young, so drink 2024-2030. Technical score: 93. Enjoyment score: 91.

  • Balanced, elegant, excellent -- berries and spice. A firm acidic base.
Still young, but showing well now. Just a bit of nice ripeness on the finish. An excellent wine -- and one that seems to gradually get better with cellar time.

  • This is a very nice Burgundy from the Côté Chalonnaise. It is mature, with lots of berry fruit, good minerality and a medium finish. Yes, it does have a little of that distinctive Burgundy barnyard thing going on. I like to say earthiness for this wine and in a good way.
