2nd bottle far less tertiary and much brighter citrus and saline, preferable to the first bottle and more similar to my recollection of the sample poured in the tasting room. 1st bottle: Heavy on the tertiary notes while the acid is moderate and well balanced. Dark golden hue. Medium+ body. Ginger, praline, caramel, galangal, marzipan, vanilla, baked quince, lemon curd aromas and flavors with subdued mineral eucalyptus backbone and finish. Not oakie or buttery. I would have guessed it's about 3 years older. Delicious but I could see the tertiary notes being polarizing.

Wine seemed off, like too much age. Yet it was a new bottle from Winery that was put in my cooler. Not a fan!
