  • I don't know what's up with these last notes, I don't agree at all.

This wine is killer: aromas of wax, lanolin, bruised apple. Aromas become better as the wine warms- more welcoming. In the mouth, the wine is full bodied, flavors of quince, pear, honey, and bitter herbs, a small amount of acetic acid. Finish is dry and earthy- some mineral. Very good, nice glycol body with a firm finish and bite.

  • I kept the bottle too long... it lost all its freshness and vitality and just annoying fermentation taste remained... the nose still nice with typical aromas of orange skins and quince.

  • Hard oil paint nose. Old perfume and hits the edge on palate with mixed appeal. Ends of up pretty basic. Maybe the mix? Less exotic and interesting than other vintages.

  • Quite developed yellow color. Aromatic, with mostly oxidized apples. Quality not as expected for the price.

  • Wildy aromatic and intensely expressive - tremendous. Absolutely tremendous! Lemon, mandarin, pineapple, and melon burst forth on the nose, transitioning to creamier lemon curd and papaya on the palate. Starfruit and banana showed through as well, before the wine developed more savoury notes of yellow pepper, pickled veggies, and tangy viet fish sauce. White pepper appeared along side stony minerality; eventually things softened out again with vanilla, passionfruit, and an apricot peel finish. Unlike many skin contact whites, this gave little of the bitter tea/herbal kick that can be pleasant but also overbearing. Instead, the wine was beautifully soft and infinitely sip(gulp)able - such utter enjoyment with each taste. This is definitely a bottle for any fan of orange wine, or for anyone willing to take a chance on something a little different!
