  • 1 hour decant; paired with seafood cioppino. Delicious, as fully expected! Deep and brooding black fruits, cracked pepper, vanilla and some bitter scorched earth notes on the finish. Great stuff and drinking well right now. Drink now - 2031.

  • A nose of dark fruit and spice, dark black ink in color. A full bodied red, with blackberry, blueberry, spiced flavors on long finish, was very good, short decant. www.winelx.com

  • This wine has certainly improved since I last tried it a few years ago. Aromas and flavors of dark fruit are quite robust. On the palate there is also black pepper a d some earthy undertones. Full bodied with medium lto long in length, with the black pepper most long lasting.

  • 50 minute decant, could have used more.
Clear, deep ruby with purple hint. Just beyond minimal meniscus with high viscosity.
N - Dark fruit - black raspberry, black cherry, blackberry with green herbs, bacon, mushroom. Great nose.
P - Powerful fruit (as on nose), and strong notes of alcohol and tannins. Baking spices and coffee in addition to the fruit.
Struct - Dry, Med+ body, medium acid, 14+ all, somewhat coarse tannins still - Med+, Long and palate less complex than the nose.

  • Received a partial bottle as a gift from a neighbor.

Had a sip. Dark red on the pour with purple tinges around the edge; Opaque in the glass. Nose of Cherry and Blackberry, with alcohol hints on the nose. Full-bodied and hearty, with a robust explosion of flavor on the initial sip; followed by grippy tannins. "Sweetish" notes of cured meat and fruit on the palate. Peppery, but not as spicy as their Zinfandels. Nice acidity. Pleasant lingering finish with a little 'pucker.' Full of character; Smooth and refined.
