  • Would never have picked this out as a CdP blind. Sorry to say this is simply not in the category of so many other wines from this region.

  • An organic Châteauneuf-du-Pape made with Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsaut sourced from the Pied Redal vineyard. Tasted blind in VV.

Youthful, moderately translucent ruby red color with a luminous raspberry hue. The nose is ripe and somewhat restrained with brooding, youthful aromas of ripe blackberries, juicy black raspberries, some toasty oak tones, a little bit of dried cherries and a hint of almost jammy strawberry. The wine is ripe, round and very soft on the palate with rather sweet-toned flavors of cherry marmalade, juicy bilberries, some raspberry jam, a little bit of sweet oak spice and a hint of licorice. Medium-to-quite modest in acidity with rather soft, mellow tannins. The finish is sweet, juicy and medium-long with flavors of ripe strawberries, some raspberry jam, a little bit of cherry marmalade and a hint of dried herbs.

Meh. Very boring, soft and uninspiring Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Feels like an overripe Côtes-du-Rhône red with too little in the way of structure. Quite difficult to pair with anything due to its relatively flabby structure and doesn't come across as particularly interesting on its own either. Hard to see the wine benefiting from further cellaring. Doesn't offer value for the money at 27,49€.

  • Produced from Grenache, blended with Syrah and Mouvedre, the wine is elegant, soft, fresh, medium bodied, forward and spicy with a finish loaded with juicy, sweet, kirsch.

  • Deep ruby red colour. Dark berries, oak and spices on the nose. Taste of red berries, dark berries, oak and spices. Good acidity and a structured finish with hints of spices. Value for money compared to other Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Goes well with lamb and grilled meat.
