  Luminous Campari red color. EXTREMELY aromatic, perfumed and complex nose with almost unreal aromas of sweet mead, exotic flowers, perfumed rosewater, candied orange zest, rose hips and rowanberry marmalade. I'm dumbfounded by the overwhelming aromatic complexity of this wine. On the palate the wine is extremely full-bodied, really sweet and incredibly intense with rich and equally complex flavors of mead, raisins, sweet resinous character, orange marmalade, rowanberry marmalade, some raspberry juice, a little bit of exotic and slightly bitter spices and a hint of mushroomy earthiness. The wine tastes simply unreal and something I've never had before - it is very much like a fortified wine made from Muscat or Gewürztraminer, but with so many additional layers. Although not particularly flabby, the wine comes across as a bit unctuous, as the acidity is quite modest and the tannins are very mellow, almost nonexistent. The remarkably long finish is very sweet, floral and incredibly complex with rich flavors of mead, rowanberry marmalade, gummi bear candies, rosewater-flavored Turkish delights, some candied orange zest and a hint of tangerine juice.
  
  A captivating and almost magical fortified wine. Not particularly fresh or bright one, but instead a wine that impresses with its incredibly heady and complex aromas and layered, sweet floral flavors. Really a fortified wine like no other - I've never had anything like this from any country in Europe. Simply stunning stuff - a treat on its own and a delicious pairing with tangy cheeses and sweeter baked desserts. Very highly recommended.
