  • Actually improving. Bright red nose with pomegranate on the palate with some strawberry and bing cherry. Short to medium finish but no problem. Builds some structure with exposure to air. Good evolution since my prior notes and look forward to what else is in store. At this point it’s a pretty good wine, enjoyable. Entering its drinking window but likely not peaking for another couple of years.

So much better. Bright red fruit but more structure and length. Similar tasting notes just amped up with longer and more complex finish. Surprisingly good and totally changed my mind on this “simple” wine. Not sure if it is the vintage or vigneron but excellent QPR. 88.

  • Had another bottle. Has a beautiful rose Gamay nose. But on the palate it lacking the same dimensionality. If you just want to smell something nice it’s great but don’t expect much going forward.

  • First night was highly acidic and seemed unbalanced. Put the cork in it and the following evening it had become much rounder and evened out. Red and black fruit, medium finish. Seems like more work than should be expected at this price point but in the end it was quite drinkable.
