  A private tasting with friends (Hotel Jean Moët, Épernay, France): Tasted blind. Pure and natural, clearly cool climate Chardonnay even though there is a sweetness to the fruit, clean and fresh, elegant and precise in a post-modern style.

  Youthful and slightly lactic, with lemon and pear aromas. Firm acidity, nicely gliding texture and sort of a wet-stone finish. Very good indeed. Price up as the quantity is low.
