  • 2 days in San Francisco; 4/2/2023-4/3/2023 (San Francisco): I bought this off the list at the Morris. It needed about a half hour to wake up, and oh boy did it wake up! The nose is deep and pure Littorai with loads of plums, pomegranate, bright red cherries, raspberries, baking spices, violets, rose petals, and fresh savory herbs. The Medium/Full bodied feel is polished and deep with crisp, medium+ acidity and silky medium, tannins. The structure has basically resolved itself and is letting this gorgeous Pinot shine.

  • Fantastic!! Last had this vinatge almost two years ago and the time it has spent “laying down” since then has been well spent! Deep ruby color with great red fruit - cherry with a hit of spice on the back end during a nice longer finish. Texture is still very silky and smooth and it will definitely cause you to want more! Sad to be done with this vintage, but I have learned you can never go wrong with an older Littorai.

  • Still young. Medium, opaque ruby color. Nose is a bit closed. Smells of dusty underbrush and rose petals. Some smokiness and just a hint of cherry. Sour cherry on the palate, with soft but healthy amounts of tannin. Medium spicy finish that lasts for minutes. Alc. is listed as 13.4%, but seems a bit higher.

  • WOW! This wine was so good from the first taste when the bottle was opened and remained that way throughout a meal. Nice, solid fruit with no “earth” taste at all. Don’t really notice the tannins as it’s all about the fruit with a nice silky texture. If you can find one......buy it!
