Coravin. Light youthful ruby; high intensity aromatics, strawberry, dusty spices; light bodied, low-medium tannin and a bit rustic, high acidity especially through the midpalate, red fruited, strawberries, well balanced; medium length finish. A very nice burgundy at $40. 89-90

Dinner with the wine group (Sole Ristorante, San Mateo): Aromatic, red fruited, strawberry, some floral; palate is light bodied, low tannin, medium-plus acidity, red strawberry fruit, fresh and clean; finish is medium length. A very nice red burgundy, excellent for the Cote de Nuits Villages level, but priced appropriately at $40+. This would likely age well for a few years, but drinks well now too. 89

This is a nice wine, particularly with food. Just what it should be for its level. It has red fruits and is on the tart side, but it has just enough darker-fruit depth to keep it from veering into Beaujolais-land. Fine structure and some earth in a light-to-medium-bodied package. Classical.

Really nice. Medium fruit very pretty gained depth on second night.
