Opened for another test drive and to similar experience as the first about a year ago. Bright crunchy ripe stemmy strawberries. Very silky and plush and ripe in an understated way, thought this spoke the vintage rather well. This alongside the Ramonet rouge were absolutely delicious.

Same bottle as Melvin. Great from the get-go. Somehow the slightly tired Clair got more attention in this flight but I thought this was showing beautiful balance and very good weight from the first pour. Was thinking lesser GC from 2012 given the weight, or perhaps a slightly younger 1er from a top producer, perhaps 2017. Fruit more in the dark spectrum. Aromatics on the mid palate a bit muted still - upside from here.

Wines from regions starting with B: Wonderful, lifted nose with delicate, sweet red fruit so went for 2015 Chambolle. Lovely balance to this wine, similar to the 08 CDLR I tried last month but was so red-fruited that I wasn’t in MSD territory at all. No signs of stems or blue fruit. Obviously still young and a long way to go but superb already.

From the straight off it displayed what I would call new world ish characters. Very intense, very big and very concentrated yet from the scent to the palate it exhibited a fine balance.
We anticipated some time might be needed but it was open for business from the get go guess with that it masked the usual MSD but the fruits did come thru later of candied cherry much later to do the terroir some justice.
Overall, can still age more to allow more of the finesse to come thru!

Nice Dujac Morey, a little light and not much of a nose. Probably a year past its prime.
