Intense, medium-deep honey yellow color with subtle, greenish highlights. Very rich and unctuous nose with intense aromas of beeswax, some spicy wildhoney tones without much sweetness, a little bit of developed mushroomy character and a sweet, lactic hint of cooked cream. The wine is intense, off-dry and racy on the palate with moderately light-to-medium body and very attractive, fresh flavors of lemony citrus fruits, some creaminess, a little bit of ginger tea with hopney, a hint of panna cotta and a touch of steely minerality. High in acidity. The finish is long, lively and fresh with pronounced steely minerality and fine-tuned flavors of lemony citrus fruits, some tart green apples, a little bit of creaminess and a hint of quince.

A very lovely, albeit surprisingly creamy and rich Riesling with terrific balance between the residual sugar richness and the racy acidity. I'm not sure whether this creaminess comes solely from the developed fruit or if the wine has undergone malolactic fermentation, but nevertheless, this is pretty darn tasty effort. Although showing some developed character already, the wine is still quite youthful for one at almost 20 years of age and it is easy to predict that this wine will continue to develop and keep for years to come. Simply ridiculous value at only 11,92€.
