  • Vincent 2016 Chardonnay Tardive is great right now. Palate has a bit of florals to match the smooth citrus, a hint of chalk and vanilla, and a bit of saline oyster shell. So glad to have a couple left, including a magnum. Excellent to Outstanding.

  • 2016 Vincent Tardive Chardonnay. Glasvin Universal. Drank after 1/2hr in glass. Surprising light Lemon with some green (I thought it would be a bit darker). On the nose some flinty pear, pineapple, lemon, apple (green), again flinty gun power, some peach. Med + acid. On the palate fresh and vibrant green bruised apple, lemon, pear/pineapple, salty on back of the mouth. Finish is long sliding into salinity. Paired with scallops, orange, and fennel. This is a very good quality wine and could easily go another 5yr+. Wish I had more to follow but absolutely no regrets about opening this bottle. Seriously enjoyed!

  • High acidity, lemon, sea salt, wet stone. Medium to light weight.

  • Opened one hour in advance. Complex aromas of tart pear, lichee, and dishwater. Rich flavors of pear, water chestnut, minerals. Pleasant bitter notes in the lingering finish.

Full bodied, young, complex, mutable, firm backbone. As good as it is now, it will probably get better. Outstanding wine at a ridiculous price.

  • Light pale straw color, clear. Strong nose of sea shells and rocks, and tart the pineapple and peach. The palate starts out exactly like it smells and then it takes this left turn where the richness of mouthfeel and a yeast flavor I associate with dosage in Champagnes grabs the front of the stage briefly before the acidity, some light vanilla, and less all just duke it out in the long finish. Wound up tight at the moment. Impressive and interesting wine. All Vincents chardonnays have this brightness of acid but the "tardive" on this really shines through. First bottle of this after many of the regular style. Another great QPR from Oregon. Can't wait to try in 6-10 years.
