Enjoyable Morlet chard! this wine is impressive with the strength of the wine to hold the flavors and aromas of the chardonnay grape. The mild acidity, the aromas of honeysuckle and lemon, with the flavors of both provide for a smooth lasting finish Morlet chard.

Not overly naked and paired well with baked salmon. Medium yellow color and a surprisingly good finish that was long and full. Honeysuckle, citrusy and field grasses. Very enjoyable

food friendly, crisp yet rich. excellent effort. I'm not a Chardonnay lover (neither the old oaky style, nor modern steel tank style, nor French), but this could make me a convert.

Really delicious Chard. The nose had aromas of baked apples and vanilla. Palate was more complex with layered flavors of butterscotch, pear and slight floral notes. Definitely heavier mouthfeel than other CA Chards. But had everything in the right place. Long finish. Paired it with halibut in a lemon/butter sauce.

I'm a longtime fan of Luc Morlet, but the 2016 vintage just hasn't struck me right as of late - too diffuse, a little flabby, lacking in energy. Chardonnays this big need tension and energy, and this wine seems asleep on the job - tasty, but it could have been so much more.
Light yellow in color; full in body; nose of brioche, pear, and lemon meringue (especially think about the toasted meringue part). Flavors of orange marmalade and roasted cantaloupe, with a strong biscuity and nutty influence (e.g., toasted almond, hazelnut, vanilla bean, burnt caramel, marzipan), followed by a creamy finish that hides its acidity and lacks freshness. Consistent over three hours. 14.4% alcohol. Drink in next few years.
