I get some pretty crazy things on the nose - wax, kerosene, ginger, hot dog (seriously!) and the juice from a can of fruit cocktail. Somewhat round on the entry but then gets zippy. Nice lenghty finish here that is quite powerful and expressive. Very tasty. Much better bottle than my first pass at this.

Overall: A pretty classic expression of Alsatian Gewurztraminer full of perfumed fruit, floral, and spice notes, but rather dry on the palate and with noticeable phenolic bitterness. I tasted this blind and had no trouble identifying it. It has some body and richness, but also pretty good balancing acidity (for the varietal) and somewhat moderate alcohol, so food pairings are not challenging. It's in a pretty good spot right now with lots of purity and intensity, but it has the stuffing to develop some more complexity with additional bottle age. If you're a fan of aromatic whites, like I am, you should really enjoy this. Yum!

Lychee, passion fruit, ripe apple. Ginger and cinnamon. Strong intensity of both flavors and aromas. Medum + body, low acid (I agree with the note that wished that had been a touch higher). The nice long finish saves it, though.
