Drinking well right now, surprisingly so honestly. Softer tannins than one would expect for this stage, nice fruit. Perfectly enjoyable, though youthful stage

(Berry’s Italian Tasting) :: Darkish fruit, brooding, some vegetal notes, slate, sweet liquorice. Tight and unyielding. Lacks meaningful character or definition at this stage. On the palate, fine-grained big tannin frame. Hold.

Pyrazines on the nose at first. Nettles, tar, earth and darker nebbiolo fruit to follow. More expansive on palate with focused yet broad texture and sap. This has not yet come together into balance and I am not sure it will. Finishes with firm fine tannins. I have a soft spot for this bottling, but this is a difficult year.

Easy drinking. Light for a young Barolo. Good restaurant pour. Vegetal notes dominate. Not sure this gets any better with age.

Darker fruits, oak, some citrus. Light on the palate, bright acidity and tannin, medium finish.
