Consistent with previous tasting note, by and large, but this bottle just had a bit more of everything - aromatics, texture, finish. As close to a Cote Rotie as I think I've had from CA, in all the right ways.

Decanted two hours before service. In the glass, medium-dark magenta at the rim, shading quickly to dark maroon at the core. On the nose, black currants and olives. On the palate, more of the same with background notes of espresso and violet and a smooth texture that carries through the finish. TLDR perhaps 60% central coast syrah, 40% Cote Rotie?
