Cork wet all of the way through. Decanted. Started with a very funky/skunky nose so I put it aside since I thought it might be spoiled. Next day it turned into a beautiful old tempranillo -- cigar, smoke, and leather.

Winorama: A winter in Wineland III; 1/4/2019-1/13/2019 (Portland/Willamette, Eureka, Napa): Second time with an Especial in just a few days. These are straight up great wines. Didn't take very detailed notes, but found this quite enjoyable. Similar to the Jamet not quite made for the dish I was having (Duck Bolognese), but the quality shone through regardless. We opened and decanted and then drank over the course of maybe 3 hours. I think probably it's a wine that could use a longer decant at this point. Still a bit tight. Gives the impression of a wound up animal waiting to spring and I don't think it hit peak before the last sip. Will continue to keep an eye out.
