  • Opened and consumed. Pours medium weight w/ light ruby to clear. Spicy aromas of musk, oak dust, red fruits, lilac. Solid fruit core with a slight bit of effervescance. Toasty elements surround the fruit core that attacks early and rides the wood on the finish. Day two + the fruit continues to ride the candy bark, this is a fun drink on the jammy, very ripe style of sweet pinot power.

  • The cloudiness seems to have settled, at least until the bottom of the bottle. Big primary bing cherry and boysenberry with some charcoal like smokiness. Juicy and big fruited. The fruit is candy like giving sort of a cough drop quality. Touch of a bite on the finish but not really in the way of heat. Maybe slightly volatile? There is a nice focus quality to the sweet fruit making this nice as a cocktail wine. No rush to drink these but I'm not sure I see room for improvement. Consistent over two nights. Detected distinct notes of palate shift.

  • PnP. Cloudy orangy-red. Intense strawberry-cherry nose with some earth, baking spice and vanilla. Medium plus intensity sweet fruit with some power. Soft tannins and light but sufficient acidity. Low complexity and finesse. Round, fleshy, sweet but not candied texture with little cut or lift. Still, the fruit was so delicious that I really liked this (more so than the bottle in June).

  • PnP. Cloudy orange-tinted red. Nose shows musky dark red fruit and a little vanilla spice. Palate has medium+ weighted sweet red fruits, soft tannins and a little acidity. Not getting the funk or the spice that others have noted. OK, but not so interesting.

  • haven't drank one of these since 2 years ago.....very cloudy, throwing off some tannins, very pale garnet color with some funk and spice.....let sit two hours, no real improvement. I don't know whether to just pound all these 2005's or let a few sit for a few more years.
