Both nose and palette filled with tons of beautiful beeswax and brioche flavors. Still had good acidity for being 19 years old and I think it can easily go at least another five years. Rich and full bodied. Really good stuff.

My eighth of nine bottles. Still stunning and very solid. Deep golden color. At 17 years, it hasn't begun to exhibit the exotic flavors the great Roussanne and Marsannes are capable of with age. Only showing secondary flavors of dried pear, honeysuckle and mead. Viscous mouthfeel with ample acidity. Extremely long finish. I've always loved and had faith in this wine. I'll hold my last bottle for 10 more years and keep my fingers crossed that it won't be too soon!

A wine that merits its reputation. A burnished golden hue with a somewhat reticent nose, but the wealth of flavors on the tongue are time-stopping. Just excellent and don't--even at this late date--be afraid to give it a little air. I have some Alban's approaching a decade, but I doubt they'll match Bob's light touch.

Alban Vineyards Tasting 1993-2009 (Buzzini House): This was fantastic! I was right Bob...we did have this wine at the first tasting! Still fresh and alive with super acidity....seemed like just a few years old. Bright and clean lemon/lime, green apple, melon fruit....little smoky ala Alban, but not even close to what the '99 showed. Lemon curd, honeysuckle florals, spice. Really nice wine here...with a long life ahead.

Less body than last tasting in June. Still good honey and beeswax notes but may be on its way out.
