This took about 30 minutes before it opened up. And when it did - oh boy! It must be the Santa Rita terroir but it is really hard to describe. Raspberry flavored seashells come to mind. Day 2 it closed up and didn’t offer much. Definitely memorable.

Notes of candied strawberry, candied cherry, a bit of cola and maybe some farmland, but what really stands out to me is the alcohol burn. This is just personal preference, but I don’t like high alcohol Pinots. They seem too heavy and unbalanced to me.

Aromas of red berries, cherries, and tomato leaf over briars and brambles. Smooth, long, with nicely integrated oak and a tinge of smoke in the mouth. Develops a toasty and sappy intensity and finishes with ash an crushed rocks on the finish. Better with air.

Minerals, cherry, red berries. Just really well balanced and drinks really good right now, after about a hear and a half in the cellar.
Better than the 2014 and 2015.

This is on point right now. Strawberries, light spice and hint of cherry.
