17th anniversary wine #2. A lot of oxidation on this bottle as you would expect from a 17-year-old California Chard. Color was pale orange. Nose was really interesting, hazelnut liqueur and lychee with notes of Asian pear and coconut. Pretty fascinating and holding up very well in its way, but completely transformed. The liqueur-like element stayed throughout--a bit like Essencia, hints of candied orange rind and ripe tropical fruit.
