Heights Dojo - Blind - Thurs Oct 4th - Inaugural Meeting: A: Pale to medium ruby with purple highlights N: Plum, tobacco, green pepper, stem, blackcurrant leaf, raspberry, graphite (that last note by Val). Medium (+) intensity P: Dry, medium (+) acid, medium (+) tannin, tannins seem quite green and astringent, medium (+) body, intensity and finish. C: The astringency ruins the balance and the stemmy nature is unappealing. Its a good quality wine but not one that i care for. $16 from Trader Joes. Its sort of a grotesque version of a St Emillion grand cru. Doubtless, this would improve with food and time in bottle but right now, its fairly unpleasant.
i Brought this one and so i knew what it was.

This was a gift that went down the drain. Run my friends, run.
