  • The wine looks violet colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like raisin, prune and mushroom. It tastes like raisin and fig. The body is light. The wine has flabby texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

  • "It’s a Zin!" - Flight 2, wine 1 (blind): The wine was medium to dark ruby in colour and more restrained on the nose than the second and third wine in this flight; thin red and black fruit aromas and some spice notes as well as an earthy and chemical off-note. On the palate, the wine showed red and black fruit flavours and a tea component, with underripe tannin, some heat from the alcohol and notable bitterness. Not much concentration either. Avoid!

  • Good deep color with red berry flavors, hints of spice and vanilla. Overall a really good supermarket red wine especially for the price.
