Hazy notes from last week, This was a very interesting wine, unfined and unfiltered, with lots of lees still in the bottle. I'm mainly used to Hunter Valley semillon, and this had some similarities, but was a riper, richer version, with red apple and stonefruit flavours and a slight waxy and creamy texture to the wine. I might buy another bottle to see how it ages (A-).

This wine is unfined and unfiltered with some sediment at the bottom of the bottle (by design not by mistake!), as a result the wine is a pale, slightly hazy hay yellow colour in the glass. This wine Presents mangoes and apples on the nose, with a tart green apple flavour followed by a slight yeasty note (the oak?). Long lingering finish. Paired fantastically with grilled lemon chicken and kale salad dinner.

Another New World wine from British Columbia,Canada. On nose: toasted bread and nougat with a hint of pear skin. On palate :a follow through of the above flavours with vanilla , oak , Seville orange marmalade and clean acidity. Unlike old world whites from the graves and Pessac regions , this wine lacks minerality and weight....but can age well as it is 100% Semillon , but not as sharply citric as an Australian Tyrells Sem......went well with cold chicken and haricots vert.

Same notes as before. This time paired with BBQ pork, vinegar coleslaw and kale salad.
