This offers a surprisingly classic expression of Nebbiolo with strawberries, sour cherries, roses, anise and a bit of sage maybe. The nose is really nicely perfumed, while the palate is very bright and linear. Enjoyable even at this young stage. But of course this should be in the cellar for another 5 years minimum. 16.5+/20

Medium to full bodied, strong tannins and some bitterness which you expect from a Barolo. Needed a good 6-8hrs of aeration before you could taste the fruit. You could taste some cherries, black berries and hint of mint. If you have time, give it a try.

The 2013 Bussia Barolo from Giacosa Fratelli is simply dazzling, as it bursts open with explosive aromatics of fresh strawberries and ripe cherries, which are laced with minerals, tar, floral and leather nuances. This classy Barolo is silky and beautifully structured, with gorgeous balance of fruit and acidity keeping it fresh and inviting through the juicy, yet refined finish. Overall, this a fantastic showing and while already extreamly attractive, this will also age beautifully. (Best 2019-2030)

A bit disappointing for the price, maybe it was too young.

nice for an entry level barolo. can be enjoyed now with a little air, but has the structure to cellar for 5+ more years.
