cork firm. color light, no brown edges and med ruby. nose quite nice, some kind of zin type berry. in mouth very well developed and well balanced. pronounced sangiovese grape with typical mild but distinct del dotto wood maturation. getting nicely mature but could have many great years ahead of it.

Napa-Noma Trip: Barrel Sample - Cherry nose. Translucent ruby in the glass. Dry earth, dust. Sweet soft cherry fruit on the palate. Not bad. This is from the Antinori clone of Sangiovese, though I don't know enough to know what difference that might make, or even what other clones are out there, save for the Sangiovese Grosso tasted at Unti.
