  • Splash decanted half the bottle, followed the balance from the bottle. While it’s been nearly 2 years since my last sampling of this, my prior notes about the relatively light weight continue today, This better from a 30 minute slow ox in-bottle vs decanting which came across too thin for my liking.

Leather, damp earth, and charcoal on the nose. More fruit than tannins or structure, leaving me to believe this has a 3-5 year runway. Red plum, cerises And a nice polish from Tim and palette gives a 15 second finish.

Personal note: no inventory label on bottle, check remaining stock.

  • Decanted and followed over 3 hours. While heavy on fruit this had tons of fine grained tannins early on. Even after 2 hours the wine strikes me as being watery and lacking the weight, complexity or layering that I’d expect. Will retry in 6-9 months.
