  There is a bit of varnish/medicinal quality going on with the nose although it doesn't totally distract from the pungent sous bois notes that follow along with hints of carmel and salty meats. The palate still displays a lot of acidity given the vintage although is a little off balance. Similar flavors are confirmed on the palate.
