Long decant. Classic Griffin’s Syrah. Ink dark, loads of olive tampenade on and bacon fat. Has a really tough acid streak on the back that makes me think this will last for a very very long time. Really great wine.

Unmistakably Griffin's Lair. Blackberry leaning toward plum, a bit of salty meat and a strong undertone of green olive. Fairly restrained for California Syrah. Dense and coiled. Could certainly use some time in the cellar. While a bit big and forward for me personally (while still being restrained vis-a-vis other Califnornia Syrah), this is clearly a very well made wine.

Dynamite. Green olives, licorice, plum and tannin... from one of my favorite domestic Syrah vineyards, this could be nothing but Griffin’s Syrah from a talented hand. Stylistically, this is a touch friendlier than “lean” - and it hits a real sweet spot for me.
Really exceptional.

Ridiculously delicious. More fruit forward than I remember, but so well balanced. Will dream of this wine. Thank you Cody.

Meat and olives. Amazing fruit. Delicious wine. So good!
Edit: Even better on night two. Upping score to 96.
