  • Dark red berries, mature fruit, forest floor, some liquorice. Nice acidity, present but mature tannins. Very good aging potential.

  • 100% Montepulciano. Med (+) to deep purple with a garnet rin. Med (+) to pronounced ripe black cherry, black plum, tar, licorice, botanical herbs, vanilla, baking spices and pencil shavings. 12-14 months in new oak barriques, 6 mos in used tonneaux & 8-10 mos in bottle. Dry, consistent with the nose, with med (+) acidity, med (+) to high tannins and high alcohol (14%). Med (+) intensity and length and a pleasantly slight savory bitterness on the finish. A great example of what the Montepulciano can do when properly vinlified and oaked, Conero is slightly more structured and higher in acidity than its counterparts from Abruzzo. Drink through 2024.
