Pleasantly surprised by this wine. Not a huge fan of carbonic maceration in general, but maybe that's more related to the grape upon which the technique is predominantly used. This carbonic cab franc was exceptional.
Note: it appears to be completely unfined and unfiltered, so there is quite a bit of sediment in the bottle. No big deal.

My sinuses were acting up, so no TN but I did want to note that I stored this upside down, cork down, and when I took it out there was a small amount of a purple milk-like substance, kinda like sludge, that pooled a little around the neck where it met the cork. I've never seen anything like it. I don't think it impacted the wine, but the sight was unusual. By the time the wine was gone, most of that was gone from the neck. The mark it left was similar to a sediment "stain" but in a milky purple way. Odd.

Juicy and better with hard/powerful cheeses than brie et al
Still youthful, acidity softened a lot, definitely needs decanting to avoid the unfiltered stuff
