Opened, poured and let sit 1/2 hr. Then: reddish fruit on nose. Reddish fruit on taste, then grenache-like taste jumps out and slowly subsides; doesn't dominate.Maybe a little out-of-balance due to the grenache-like interlude, but not in a bad way. Pleasant, but seems to leave a flat/sweetish taste on the finish. Maybe could use a bit more acidity.

Double-blind. Interesting. The wine is clearly warm climate, and shows brett reminiscent of Grenache based blends from the Rhone, my guess. Excellent substance with minor balance issues, typical of warm climate wines the world over.

Deep garnet to purple. At once chewy and gritty. Firm, rounded, and expansive. Delicious! Likely to pair exceptionally with well-marbled, thick cut, grilled beef.

Enjoyed this. Lots of complexity, especially on the nose. Cherry and red berries intermixed with earth, leathery hints. Fruit a little darker on the palate: plum, blueberry. Ripe without being too overripe. One drawback was a little too much caramel from the oak. Still a great way to try a new grape.

A small pour, this wine was served quite cold, but it was still very good. Rich in red to black fruit and some noticable chocolate. A lot of the time, these weird grapes are little known for a reason. This wine makes a strong case that more people should use Susumaniello in their wine. 90, could go higher with more time/wine to analyze.
