I liked this well-made lemon pithy Gavi from the risky 2017 vintage in northern Italy (massive early-season frost damage).
C....pale, Light-Med body.
Nose.....zilch, boring.
T.....much better: lemon zest and pith/floury tannins, solid grapefruit flavours, not especially complex or long. Good acidity. Grippy, after some time. Finishes off-dry. Not the most classy wine in the world, but doing pretty well for £9.00
VFM?....will buy again. I've had more expensive 'Estate' Gavi that hasn't been this good. Well done Tesco's 'Finest.' After a dodgy start the 2017 season in this DOCG seems to have turned out okay.

So so hard not to like. Simple white wine that has some old world edges but modern touches too. Really attractive sweet minerals and stones; as always a big chill treats such styles well.

Acceptable Gavi, nothing special.
N....not much. Dull.
T......some intensity, grapefruit pith, quince, lemon zest. Good acidity. Dry-ish finish.
Back label v's wine: says ''long flavours.'' It's shorter than that.
VFM? Good, would buy again.
