From magnum. Decanted a couple of hours before service. This wine is still very young, with no color change whatsoever. Super jammy, with a ton of black fruit bursting out with some vanilla backing it up. The decanting tames the alcohol heat, so definitely give it some air time. Pairs perfectly with braised beef short rib. Years of life left, so no hurry to drink.

From magnum. Big and jammy on the palate with a bit of heat from the alcohol. It's listed as 14.5% on the label but there's clearly some poetic license going on their, as it's easily well over 15%. The color is still extremely dark without any bricking or browning. I think it would have benefitted from decanting. It's an excellent wine with steak, but difficult to drink more than a glass or two of due to the jammy nature.

From magnum at Ken's 70th. Great Aussie Shiraz. Dark blue fruit, some earth/spice and vanilla. Granache-like character. Agree with notes from PeterJohn. Paired well with lamb chops and ribeye.

Top flight McLaren Vale Shiraz.
Lots of red fruits, healthy acidity, gentle tannins and a long finish.
