  • Lemon, apple, honey, mineral, flint, a little toast from oak. Medium acid, terrific balance of fruit, minerality, and acid. True to the house style and a phenomenal value. My only bottle of this vintage, but a testament to how amazing the Goodfellow chards can be. Can go a few more years, but no need to wait.

  • See previous notes. A benchmark wine for me. Someone show me a better $20 chardonnay

  • This wine is singing! So much energy, surprising depth. Nose of lemon, floral and honey. Palate yellow apple, honey and lemon/lime finishes. The acid playfully dances around. Wine fills the palate and long on the finish. Paired well with panko cod. Marcus brings an energy to wines that I always look forward to and is especially refreshing in a hot vintage like ‘16. DIAM 3 cork, but this has many yrs left and should be in this window for awhile. Crazy QPR. No chance of a day two note. 93+.

  • This wine’s appeal increased as it was open. Drank at cellar temp (52) and at first it had subtly pretty aromatics but a bit of hollowness on the mid-palate. After 30 minutes in the glass, though, that filled in and this was a very pretty wine - white tree fruit nose, crisp but not overly acidic or citrus flavor palate. The wine has an appealing elegance - no clunky oak or distracting vanilla. Nice wine at a nice price point.

  • Rather green: a hint of mint up front, then lime and green apple, with a crispy texture and just a bit of creaminess on the back end. This is decidedly lean and underripe, without any real complexity to go with it. I still like this better than the rich, oaky sweet style of domestic Chardonnay, but it probably goes too far in the other direction.
