The nose is quite ripe and exotic with notes of peach, tangerine, apricot and honey. It is full and rich but also very fresh. It has good volume and excellent shape with a finish that is clean and long.

Lemon and grapefruit, bit of lees and oak but no real buttery malo. good acidity, despite the age. I enjoyed it but it was pricey for what it was which is reflected in the mark (88 otherwise).

Very nice stuff. I worked at Yarra Burn in 07 and will be working for Bay of Fires in 2008. Both of these wineries bring forth a majority of the fruit that goes into the Eileen Hardy Chardy. 100% barrel fermentation, native yeast, native malo. Nose of lemon curds, vanilla, anise, and cream leading to a racy and rich textured palate with creme brulee and and butterscotch flavors. Great acidity!

Grapefruit and, perhaps, apple. Plenty of acidity, not much creaminess or butteriness. Almonds on the finish.
