  This was an earthly, dark fruit kind of wine. Bit tannic still. Did not decant it - felt the fruit might sneak away. I'm saving the other bottles 3-4 years before consuming another.

  Upon openning, this bottle had a slight sulfur nose which covered any fruit that might have been there otherwise. This carried over to the palate as everything was very tight or covered. The sulfur nose dissipated somewhat after two hours of breathing. The palate was still closed. I removed the air from the bottle and recorked it. The nose and palate where more open the next day showing some berry fruit. I'm hoping that either I had a somewhat corked bottle or I opened it too soon after it was bottled. Will try again in about three months.
