Outstanding on its own. But was great with salmon and asparagus, cheese and also with Turkey and stuffing. Initially musty, funky. Opens to a deep citrus. Salinity gives way to a nice mouth feel and a nice straw and grapefruit (with a touch of banana cream?) finish. I'm sure this can age well but it is very fun now. 91+

Grand Jury du Vin - Republic of Georgia; 11/1/2023-11/9/2023 (Republic of Georgia then stopover in Paris and Dijon): Beautiful youthful nose displaying generous yellow citrus fruit with a hint of white, lemon curd, white peach, kiwi, strong beeswax, white flowers, vanilla and wet stone. Gooseberry/SB note really kicks in. Very good concentration, generous yellow citrus/Gooseberry, oily and generous but also showing a good balance, perfect amount of acidity, strong mineral, and a long yellow citrus fruit driven finish with beeswax at the end. This is a classic Domaine de Chevalier Blanc. Drinking really well.

Classic Sauvignon Blanc notes of wet hay. good mouthfeel, medium weight. Good freshness here, still primary, beginning to develop some complexity. Drinking very well now, will last for years.

Tasted this at the International Congress of Chinese Cuisine & Wine, Domaine de Chevalier Masterclass at The Tower Club.
Freshly grated cheese on the nose with beautiful aromatics and vanilla. Ripe green plums. Beautiful wine. Wowed the audience and this wine reviewer.
As the speaker rightly said: Enough of everything, not too much of any one thing.

Pale yellow, with stony lemon zest and minerals and a long puckering finish.
