Huge jammy wine. Parfum, Jam, caramel dried fruit aroma as wine has opened. Initially just ripe fruit, hard to get the aged quality. Dried fruit, some prune and red/black candied fruit. Initially not showing much age; was big sweet and caramel on palate (American oak?), but as has opened up and showing some bitter tannin along with the ripe quality. Great experience for an aged wine; has certainly held up not sure why recommendation was thru 2011. Different but more nuanced experience.

Beautiful, full, balanced, fruity. Wonderful with a pot roast!

This is a fantastic wine. Classic example of Washington State syrah. Lots of black fruit and some oak, but smooth and well balanced. Big wine.
