Dark ruby, almost garnet in the glass. On the nose this wine shows deep notes of Black cherry, strawberry preserve, Kirch, dried rose and dried goji come with hints of blood orange, wild herbs, spice, earth, sous bois leather and cola. The palate shows richness with above moderate fruit density. Polished moderate tannins are met with juicy acidity. Flavors again show black cherry and Kirch notes that come with touches of strawberry preserve, plum, blood orange and details of dried rose petal, earth, spices, herbs and leather. Smooth through the lingering finish.

Really well put together, again. That middle ground between savory Burgundy and ripe-fruit CA. This time, got a hint of cola alongside the red fruit. Paired with various cheeses, the most distinctive of which was a smoked chèvre…great together.

Deeper ruby color than the bright red Meredith Mitchell bottling we had the previous evening. Cherry and raspberry, with a touch of rose petal. Very well put together - great balance, and more traditionally fine Oregon PN than the other. Paired well with seared skirt steak, and was lovely all through the evening.
