Light yellow. Nose of chalk, lemon and pineapple. Refreshing and bold, even powerful. A lingering finish of lemon curd. A bit too strong and slightly off balance.

This benefits from a little air and from not being too cold. The nose is floral but also with a spicy (white pepper?) note. On the palate, fresh juicy fruit, a touch of minerality. There is less citric bite from sauvignon than is often the case in Pessac-Leognan blanc and the result is a very smooth round wine. The finish is clean and a touch mineral.
All in all this is a very pleasant, versatile, easy-drinking wine, but a touch too smooth/anonymous. Perhaps a touch pricey for what it is at the US$29 that I paid.

A dollop of honey, a squeeze of citrus and a tinge of tangy that rejuvenates the palette, this wine unveils a subtle, respectful line of stone which accents the juiciest of fruit. Due to the frost, there is a much higher percentage of Semillon than usual, giving the wine more fat and marbled qualities and a bit more sweetness.

55% sauvignon blanc, 45% semillon
