This was so good with pizza! Fruity but not overwhelming. Excellent with chocolate.
I don't know why this should be the case, but the blend on the back label differs from what's listed by some of the other community reviewers, who didn't mention Sangiovese. The list on my label starts with Sangio, and also includes Zin, Merlot, and PS.

Opened last night. Good dark garnet with big legs. Pretty, easygoing nose of red berry fruit. Palate is soft but rich, with warm cocoa fruit. Not complex but very enjoyable. 5-11-16-8: 90/100.

Taste TOP Wines for July (San Diego Wine Co.): "A proprietary blend of Merlot, Zin, P.S., & Syrah; Barrel aging took place over 10 mos in new & seasoned AM oak barrels (25% new)." 14.4% ABV, 0.555g/100ml T.A., & 3.80 pH;
N: Fragrant vanilla with creamy notes, berries way underneath
P: Med body; RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish frt (approaching threshold R.S.?) met by a bit of astringent pucker which pretty much holds into & through the LONG, elegant finish with a classy swtness to the DUSTY tannins. Deserves 12-18 mos, but CERTAINLY approachable now with food because of the sense of frt/swtness throughout. Impressive for this price range! My EXC-/EXC, certainly the higher for the QPR represented by this vendor's $12.99, which is ≈$5 < wine-searcher's lowest! 88 pts ea WS (as a Merlot blend) & Enotbytes.com, and Golds @ Orange County Wine Comp (90) & Taster's Guild Consumer's Wine Judging. Contest results for '18: Gold @ Int'l Women's Wine Comp & Silv @ Sonoma County; '19 results: Silvers @ S.F. Chronicle & Rodeo Uncorked! Int'l, + Bronze @ Press Democrat N. Coast Challenge.

Old Timers Lunch at Coppola Sonoma: Soft accessible and attractively complex, very concentrated but not sweet. Big wine but didn't notice any heat. This wine could use a few more years in the bottle. Still quite nice with lunch.
