Forward, fresh, light and eminently quaffable, there were sweet red and black fruits, pleasing gentle tannins, finishing with a little mocha. In a not so good year, the winemaking team have done a splendid job and while the wine will never aspire to the heights of 2016 or 2019 to which it was compared, it still afforded an abundance of pleasure. Smooth, medium-bodied. Aromas of red fruits predominate. Flavours tend to reveal more of the Cabernet Sauvignon blackcurrant notes, with sweet spice. The tannins have now softened, and it has become a well-balanced, delicious wine with medium+ acidity.

Tasted at Three Borders Wine Group, Hampshire, UK. A favourite of mine. Dark blackcurrant colour. It's soft, mellow, warm and shows lots of promise to develop well over 4-5 years. Lovely.

Coravin fun - Italy and France (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Caramel oak, ripe red currant over fresh blackcurrant, a little cream, sweet spice, very slight pyrazine, smells 'fresh'. Medium plus intensity acidity on the palate, tannins are quite woody and drying, red over blackcurrant fruit (as per the nose) is slightly hidden beneath this...time will help.
