Kristin and Colin's 30th (Chicago, IL): Pretty classic Napa, with a nose that is pretty expressive and intense. There's a good amount of black fruit here, as well as a light hint of pyrazines. On the palate, I thought this was a little softer and not as complex, and didn't have as much density as I would have liked, even though stylistically this is obviously straight up my wheelhouse.

The 1989 Gravelly Meadow drinks like an aged Bordeaux, a tad green, alongside graphite and cedar. The palate is just killer in its soft, silky plushness, nearly resolved tannins, and fresh acidity. Black fruit lingers on the finish. Very good.

Bottle at eleven Madison park. Very bdx style with veg and forest notes upon pour, followed by mature cherry, cedar and spice box notes. Overall very beautiful and classic in nature. Perhaps historical. Still intact and if you can find with good provenance worth seeking

Tasted from magnum. Impressive layered aromas really draw you into this wine. Palate is a medium bodied, starting to fade and a bit disappointing relative to the nose.
