Leiden in Scheveningen’s Gouden Kalf: This was a difficult wine. Completely wound up after opening. Decanted for three hours, after this it became more accessible but still very tight. Lots of extract, great acidity, but also lots of wood tones. Needs time to integrate.

Gouden Kalf @ Den Haag: Orange blossom, orange zest on a tense and structural palate, balanced by a brigth line of acidity. Needs time!
