Light gold color. Distinct nose of wet slate, lemon, green apple, and a hint of honey. Dry, soft acidity, dryness that feels tannic, palate follows through. Light medium body. Ok balance (dryness with bitterish finish). Light medium finish. First taste of Nascetta for me, interesting minerality-driven taste profile.

100% Nascetta, fermented and aged for 6 months sur lie in stainless steel tanks (70%) and old Slavonian oak botti (30%). 14% alcohol. Tasted blind.
Youthful and quite deep neon green color. Fragrant, herbal and somewhat spicy nose with aromas chopped green herbs, some passion fruit, a little bit of marjoram, light exotic notes of saffron, a hint of cat's pee and a touch of ripe gooseberry. The wine is ripe, medium-bodied and very youthful on the palate with a somewhat reductive and slightly closed overall feel. Flavors of herbal bitterness, some spicy red apple, a little bit of ripe gooseberry, light notes of golden currants, a vegetal hint of green herbs and a touch of leesy character. High in acidity. The finish is ripe, herbal and quite long with dry, intense flavors of chopped green herbs, some spicy red apple, light spicy notes of saffron and white pepper, a little bit of gooseberry, a hint of zesty citrus fruits and a touch of hay.
A nice, balanced and fresh Nascetta, but overall the wine feels a bit too young and somewhat disjointed. The overall feel is slightly reductive - most likely due to the extended aging on the lees - and lacking a bit in focus. However, the wine seems like it is built to age and most likely the wine simply needs some cellaring before it'll show its best. I'd let it wait at least a few more years, but in all likelihood the wine isn't going to be peaking before its 10th birthday. Shows more future promise than immediate enjoyment.

Very interesting indigenous grape (nascetta) from Piedmont, mineral nose, a but stony with an underlying herbal note that after a while becomes very defined and with hints of thyme, very focused, on the palate also thyme is dominant, very interesting and different from usual
